Directed by Puri Jagannath, the film Neninthe, which stars Ravi Teja and debutante Siya, was released on December 18, 2008.

The steamy posters of the film, produced by D.V.V. Danayya, raised the hackles of various women’s organizations.

The protesters of these organizations ended up disputing over the hoardings showing Ravi and Siya (under clothed) in intimate poses are insulting to the common women.

Moreover, the activists advised the maker as well as director that if the insulting posters are not eradicated immediately, then they will be forced to step up their protestation and also, they would not permit any cinema hall to screen the film.

These protests gave free publicity for the film, but it remains to be seen if the film's makers withdraw the aggressive posters and hoardings.
