BJP hires 2 ad firms for media campaignBharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would leave no stone unturned to attract voters in the forthcoming parliament elections. The party hired two reputed advertising agencies Frank Simoes-Tag and Utopia to convey party's policies to general public through television, mobile, radio FM channels and the print media.

BJP spokesperson Siddharth Nath Singh said, "Frank Simoes-Tag and Utopia have prepared the campaign advertisements for BJP which will be used on television, radio FM channels and the print media from March 16 onwards."

BJD seeks fringe parties’ support to save government

Bharatiya Janata Party Bhubaneswar, Mar 8 : A day after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) withdrew its support, the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) is working to garner support of fringe parties and independent candidates to save its government.

The BJD has 61 MLA in the 147 members Orissa Assembly.

It now requires 13 more MLA to achieve the magic figure of 74 to remain in power.

The party was close to muster the support of 14 more MLAs from JMM, CPI and CPI-M.

The BJP, which had 32 members in the assembly, suffered a setback as two of its MLAs resigned from the party last week.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Chief Rajnath SinghNew Delhi, Mar 8 : Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Chief Rajnath Singh on Sunday, expressed his regret over Biju Janata Dal (BJP) supremo Naveen Patnaik''s decision to discontinue the 11-year-old alliance between both parties.

In an interview to Times Now, Singh said, "I feel it is unfortunate. We could not ever imagine that the BJP-BJD alliance will break down."

"I am shocked at the decision... Naveen Patnaik never indicated his dissatisfaction with the alliance," he added.

Dismissed Venkatesh Joins BJP

Dismissed Venkatesh Joins BJPIn a significant move, dismissed member of the National Commission for Women (NCW) Nirmala Venkatesh on Thursday joined the BJP in Bangalore.

BJP’s Karnataka Unit Mahila Morcha general secretary Mangala Sridhar admitted Venkatesh into the party.

Confirming the development, Mangala Sridhar said, “Nirmala has been admitted into the BJP and will campaign for the party in the parliamentary poll to expose the Congress.”

However, no top leader from BJP was present when she joined the party at its office.

Advani said, "Hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants enter West Bengal from Bangladesh and even the Supreme Court has said that what is happening in the eastern part is nothing less than external aggression and because this government abolished laws that deftly handle it, all this is getting encouraged."

BJP announces alliance with RLDNew Delhi, Mar 2 : The Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday announced an alliance with the Ajit Singh led Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) for the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls.

The tie-up was announced at a joint press conference addressed by Singh, BJP''s prime ministerial candidate L K Advani and National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Convener Sharad Yadav.

Former Union Minister Ajit Singh''s outfit, built mainly on a Jat support-base, will be allowed to contest in seven Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh.

These include Baghpat, Muzaffarnagar, Mathura, Nagina, Amroha, Hathras and Sitapur.
