Pfizer Q4 results fall

Pfizer-LtdPfizer Ltd. has reported a fall in its standalone profit figures. The results are for the fourth quarter.

The net profit of the company was Rs. 25.73 crore, which boils down to Rs. 8.62 per share. It is 15 per cent lesser than the corresponding figure of the last year. During the last fiscal, it had shown profit of Rs. 30.23 crore.

Interestingly, this decline is even after the company posted an increase in its revenue.

For the quarter, the revenue stood at Rs. 194.94 crore, which is 11 per cent higher than the figure for last year. The other operating incomes were at Rs. 8.07 crore, just Rs. 0.62 crore lesser than the year-ago period.

The figures mentioned above, also include one-time charge of Rs. 4.43 crore, under the classification of exceptional items. This money was spent in paying compensations and VRS benefits to the employees. Last year the figure was at Rs. 0.76 crore.

Pfizer's consolidated profit for the full year was at Rs. 137.12 crore, which is 54 per cent lower than Rs. 299.58 crore, reported last year. Standalone profits of the company were at Rs. 137.18 crore, registering a decline of 54 per cent over the last year.
