Rahul Gandhi begins his three-day Punjab visit

Congress General Secretary Rahul GandhiAmritsar, Sept 22: Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi began his three-day Punjab visit from here today.

The Amethi MP started his visit by paying obeisance at Golden Temple. He listened to the recital of Gurbani kirtan for few minutes in the morning. Amidst tight security, he also visited the community kitchen and had langer (meals) there.

He said that he is starting his Punjab visit with the blessings of Vahe Guru. He also paid tributes to the martyrs in the Jallianwala Bagh and visited Durgiana Mandir.

Purnia/Patna, Sept 10 :Rahul Gandhi visits flood-hit Bihar Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has visited the flood-ravaged Purnia District of Bihar.

The Amethi MP went around Purnia, one of the worst hit districts, to see firsthand the fury of floods and the consequent despair of the people who surrounded him all the way.

Meanwhile, self-styled yoga guru Baba Ramdev has demanded a long-term solution to tackle the recurring floods.

He said this after inaugurating a three-day Kabaddi tournament at the Jawahar Navoday Vidyalay in Gauriganj on Friday evening.

Around 300 students from various schools of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand are taking part in the sports meet.
