Melbourne, Jan 19 : Penelope Cruz has revealed that she was forced to push through pain while doing a rope routine for new musical film `Nine'.

The Spanish actress was left blistered and bruised after performing the sexy dance.

"When something like that happens, you just have to keep going and forget about any physical pain," News. com. au quoted her, as saying.

"I was dancing in the dark with one spotlight on me, so I had to be extremely alert and focused.

Washington, Jan 15 : Hollywood actress Penelope Cruz revealed that she was delighted when veteran filmmaker Woody Allen gifted her one of his trademark glasses.

The `Vanilla Sky' actress revealed that she was touched when Allen gave her his glasses as a memento during the filming of `Vicky Cristina Barcelona'.

"Actually I got a souvenir. I got his glasses as a present," Contactmusic quoted Penelope, as telling Brit Total Film magazine.

London, Dec 4 : Penelope Cruz bagged Best Ensemble Performance prize at Gotham Independent Film Awards for her role in Woody Allen movie ‘Vicky Cristina Barcelona’.

‘Vicky Cristina Barcelona’, which starred Cruz, Scarlett Johansson, and Javier Bardem, shared the award with ‘Synecdoche, New York’, which has a cast-list including Philip Seymour Hoffman and Catherine Keener, reports the Daily Star.

Cruz was among four movie icons honoured at the ceremony, picking up a tribute prize, alongside other honourees Van Sant, Melvin Van Peebles and HBO boss Sheila Nevins
