Washington, Feb 26 : With Padma Lakshmi's svelte figure, it would be difficult to imagine that she loves food. However, the pretty lady has confessed her love for burgers and maintains that she works really hard on her body.

"I grew up a vegetarian. Then, because I grew up in the states, I started slowly eating meat. First it was bologna sandwiches, or pepperoni on pizza. As a teenager, [my friends and I] would always go have burgers. I would scarf them down!" People magazine quoted the Top Chef host, as saying.

New York, Nov 24 : Padma Lakshmi was sporting enough to share the stage with US rock band ‘Foo Fighters’, but the lady’s charm left drummer Taylor Hawkins vying fore more.

The gorgeous "Top Chef" host went to Rochester last week to see the Foo Fighters concert.

The author and former model was quite happy when Dave Grohl dragged her up on stage, and introduced her to the audience.

And Lakshmi stayed on stage playing tambourine with the band, reports The New York Post.

New York, Nov 9 : Padma Lakshmi’s friends are rushing to the stunner’s defence after it was reported that she was a gold digger.

The New York Post’s sources had earlier insinuated that the "Top Chef" host used former hubby Salman Rushdie for his fame.

"She does live in the circle of rich, famous people so it would be natural that they are the ones she may date,” the New York Post quoted a pal, as saying.

After her divorce from Rushdie, Lakshmi has been linked to many rich men; she even had a brief romance with millionaire Ted Forstmann and Russell Simmons.

The ‘Top Chef’ host was recently spotted canoodling Russell Simmons at Madonna''s "Filth and Wisdom" premier.

"Russell had his hand on her upper thigh," The New York post quoted a snitch, as saying.

However, it didn''t work out between them.
