Michelle ObamaNew York, Dec 23 : Although there are plenty of unanswered questions buzzing around the Obamas'''' impending arrival, one has hairdressers on the edge of their styling chairs - Who will be chosen to do U. S. president-elect Michelle Obama''''s hair?

Barry Fletcher, Keith Harvey and are among the Washington, D. C. area hairstylists who hope to score a gig with first-lady-to-be Michelle Obama, reports the New York Daily News.

Fletcher sent Michelle a 17-minute DVD about himself while Harley uploaded his resume to the President-elect's Web site.

Move to Washington will be jarring for Michelle Obama

US First Lady Michelle ObamaChicago, Nov. 24: Moving to Washington will be particularly jarring for incoming US First Lady Michelle Obama, whose social and professional life is interwoven with Hyde Park in Chicago.

Until recently, she held a prominent position at the University of Chicago Hospitals. She grew up a few minutes from their current home and has lived away from Chicago only during her time at Princeton University and at Harvard Law School. She is on the boards of an African dance company and her daughters'' private school.

And the incoming First Lady is getting her own fashion book.

Avon has signed former Made moiselle editor Mandi Norwood to write a "Michelle Obama Style Guide,” which is due to release next spring.

"Not since Jackie O have we had a first lady become a fashion icon,” the New York Post quoted Avon vice president Carrie Feron as saying.

“You know, we''re still in the process of figuring out that transition. And what we have asked people to understand is that the decision that we make will be based on the best interest of the girls,” Michelle told CBS 60 minutes.

Obama’s involvement in politics put strains on his marriage

Obama and Michelle visit White House Chicago, Nov. 17 : U. S. President-elect Barack Obama and his wife Michelle have admitted that his involvement with politics did, at times, put strains on their marriage, but Michelle added that she is quite happy with Barack finally having his home and office in one place.

“You know, this entire year and a half has brought us closer together as a family. And we managed to stay close and become even closer with Barack gone most of an entire two year period. And now, we get to be together under the one roof, having dinners together,” Michelle told CBS 60 minutes.
