George Lucas casts actors for ‘Star Wars’ TV seriesLondon, Mar 12 : Filmmaker George Lucas is busy casting actors for a live action TV series based on his hit motion picture series `Star Wars'.

Lucas had announced plans to make a TV Star Wars spin-off way back in 2005.

Hollywood actress Rose Byrne, who starred in 2002''s Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, as Dorme, revealed that bosses were already considering actors for the sci-fi series.

"A lot of my friends have been auditioning for it," the Daily Express quoted Byrne as telling MTV.

`Red Tails' is a film on the Tuskegee Airmen, who were America's first black military airmen.

The project has been in development with the director since 1990, reports The Telegraph.

The film's story has been written by Lucas, but he will not direct it as Anthony Hemingway, who has worked on gritty TV shows such as The Wire and Oz has been signed up to helm the project.

George Lucas’ Star Wars to be staged at London stadiumLondon, Dec 12: American film director George Lucas has revealed that he will be staging his epic saga Star Wars at a stadium in London.

Lucasfilm has authorised ‘Star Wars: A Musical Journey’, which is a retelling of the story with excerpts of the film combined with live orchestral accompaniment.

According to producers for the show, which is premiering in Britain, though actors will be used to narrate the story, it will definitely not be a stage musical.

Washington, September 21 : ‘Star Wars’ creator George Lucas is struggling to clinch a broadcast deal with TV channels for his spin-off animated series ‘Clone Wars’.

The movie mogul has so far created 40 of the 100 episodes of his programme.

He has very clearly said that his production is not for a kids channel.

Lucas has also said that he wants a prime time slot for his programme.
