Patna Police Clashes With Female Health Workers

Police ClashPatna: The police force in Patna collided with women health workers who were demanding their pending wages of almost two years. The workers are totally frustrated with the government’s callous approach towards them.

The health workers of Asha scheme, who supply basic health services in the villages in Bihar, had arrived Patna to protest against the non-payment of their salaries

The health workers were in talks with the state government, which failed, as a result the women took to the streets.

The police have now managed to disperse the crowd and traffic disturbances are now easing up. Things turned wild when the Police tried to disburse the protestors who staunchly refused and pressed ahead with the rally.

Many of the health workers have been injured as the police force used water cannons to disperse them.
