Patel Engineering arm wins US-based Dam Reconstruction Project worth $280 million

Patel Engineering Ltd., a civil engineering construction company, has informed that company’s US-based wholly owned subsidiary ASI RCC Inc. has secured the Taum Sauck Upper Reservoir Dam Reconstruction project. Taum Sauck is the largest RCC dam in the Missouri, USA.

The value of the project is estimated to be approximately USD 250 - 280 million.

The Tom Sauck Plant is a reversible pumped storage project used to supplement the generation & transmission facilities of Amren UE. The scope of work involves rebuilding the existing inoperable Upper Reservoir with the construction of a Concrete faced symmetrical Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) Dam. The Taum Sauk Plant is owned and operated by Ameren UE, a subsidiary of Amren Corporation, St. Louis.

This job is a negotiated contract between Amren & Ozark Constructors LLC (a 50-50 joint venture between ASI, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Patel Engineering, & Fred Weber Inc.)

At 1:30 PM, Patel Engineering was quoting at Rs 616 on BSE, up Rs 21, or 3%. It has touched an intraday high of Rs 638 and an intraday low of Rs 600.
