Islamabad, Aug 22 : A Lahore court's ruling ordering the registration of a murder case against Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif , Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, and several other PML-N leaders over the Model Town incident has been challenged by the country's Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed.

According to the Dawn, Rasheed challenged the ruling in the Lahore High Court in a personal capacity, which the court has admitted for hearing.

Lahore High Court's Justice Mehmood Maqbool Bajwa will be hearing the case today.

The June 17 Model Town clashes killed eleven supporters of the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and left scores injured. (ANI)
