Pak interior ministry directs provinces to keep a strict vigil on Indian visitorsKarachi, Aug 11 : Pakistan’s interior ministry has reportedly directed the home departments of all the four provinces to keep a strict vigil on Indians arriving in Pakistan on visit visas, and also asked them to submit reports on Indian nationals staying in areas close to the Indo-Pak border.

The directive has been issued amid fears that the locals staying in Pakistan were being used by Indian intelligence agencies (for carrying out nefarious activities).

Source privy to the matter said on condition of anonymity that the ministry gave these instructions to the home departments in a letter mentioning specifically areas along the border, reported the Daily Times.

According to the paper, the federal ministry’s letter also mentioned restraints on visa extensions to the Indians. (ANI)
