Oil prices a boosted by equities

Oil prices a boosted by equitiesSpurred by gains in equity markets, Crude oil prices tracked higher on Thursday, holding above $75 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

It has been reported that markets were higher in Asia and Europe. On Wall Street equities closed higher for the third consecutive trading session.

Adding $1.76 from a prior settlement, August delivery light, sweet crude oil, which added close to $3 on Wednesday, went up to $75.83 per barrel.

Heating oil prices for August gained 0.0268 cents to $2.0055 per gallon.

It was also reported that reformulated gasoline blend-stock prices rose 0.0327 cents to $2.058 per gallon.

Shedding 0.154 cents, Henry Hub natural gas prices for August went down to $4.411 per million British thermal units.

According to reports of AAA, the national average price for unleaded regular gasoline at the pump, dropped to $2.717 Thursday from Wednesday's $2.721 per gallon. (With Inputs from Agencies)
