NTPC inks MoU with Government of Chhattisgarh
Indian state-run power generator National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (NTPC) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Government of Chhattisgarh for establishing a 4000 MW coal based thermal power project having 5 units of 800 MW each at Lara in Raigarh District of Chattisgarh subject to establishment of techno-commercial feasibility.
Apart from this, the company has also signed MoUs with Govt of Chhattisgarh for setting up an International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) and an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in the state of Chhattisgarh to accelerate economic development and employability of skilled / semi-skilled workforce in industries.
The scrip of the company closed on Friday at Rs 205 on BSE. The counter has made 52-week-high and low of Rs 233 and Rs 133 respectively.
