Brahumdagh Bugti hails Swaraj's speech at UNGA, urges New Delhi to keep raising Balochistan issue

Geneva [Switzerland], Sept. 26 : Hailing Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj's response to Pakistan at the United Nations General Assembly ( UNGA) on terrorism and human rights violations in Balochistan, Baloch Republican Party (BRP) founder Brahumdagh Bugti has said that they expect New Delhi to keep rising the issue.

"This is a very good move and we expect that India will keep raising this issue, because India is that democratic country and responsible country, which undertakes its responsibility with sincerity," Bugti told ANI.

Bugti maintained that after Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's remarks on the Balochistan issue, the Baloch people are seeing a ray of hope in their cause.

"People like Nawaz Sharif and Pervez Musharraf challenge India by taking its name on the international platform, whereas India fears to take Pakistan's name. Why? Mere lectures and speeches won't create fear in the mind of Pakistan. Neither Pakistan will learn anything from it, nor would the speeches be a tribute to our martyrs," Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut told ANI.

SC to hear banks' plea against defaulting Vijay Mallya

New Delhi [India], Sept. 27 : The Supreme Court on Tuesday will hear the plea of the State Bank of India-led consortium of 17 banks against liquor baron and Kingfisher chairman Vijay Mallya for bringing him back to India in connection with a loan defaulting case.

The consortium of banks had approached the apex court seeking its intervention in bringing back Mallya to India and also repayment of money which the beleaguered businessman had taken.

The top court had wanted to know from the union government about his whereabouts, to which the Attorney General told it that he was in England.

The banks, in their plea, told the apex court that there was an outstanding loan of almost Rs. 9,000 crores against the businessman.
