Hindustan Unilever net profit rises by 47.14 %

HULLeading FMCG firm of the country Hindustan Unilever Ltd. has declared its fourth quarter financial results for the fiscal year 2009-10 and it has informed that there has been a rise of 47.14% in the net profit figure of the firm in this quarter.

The company has posted a net profit of Rs. 581.2 crore for the quarter that ended in 31st March, 2010. The net profit was reported to be Rs. 394.99 crore for the same quarter in the financial year 2008-09.

The company has posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 102.61 crore for the quarter that ended in 31st March, 2010. This net profit figure has grown up by three times in this quarter as compared to the same quarter in the last fiscal. This has been informed by the firm in a filing at the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The steel major has booked in commendable net profit and revenue in the three month period ended March 2010.

The company has booked a net profit of Rs 2,084.9 crore for the fourth quarter as compared to Rs 1,485.2 crore for the same quarter in the year previous to that.

The net profit saw an increase of 40.37%.
