They have designated foot and traffic security zones affected by the upcoming G20 summit in downtown Toronto, officials have said.

The Canadian Broadcasting Corp. has reported that authorities outlined security measures Friday ahead of the meeting of world leaders June 26-27 at the Metro Toronto Convention Center.

Superintendent Tom Russell, head of G20 planning for Toronto police, said that workers will construct a security fence 24 hours a day beginning June 7 until completion, and people will be required to pass through checkpoints.

Officials have said that Germany is considering a law to increase punishments for attacking police officers in response to rising violence aimed at law enforcement.

Deutsche Welle reported on Friday that the country's interior ministers have moved to create more protection for police after a government study showed violence against officers increased dramatically in the last five years.

Miller said, "If you're unemployed what the f--- difference does that make to you? If you had a job you would take the job."
