Consumer Product Safety Commission notified that nine manufacturers will recall a product used to fuel decorative fire pots. The move came consequent to an incident where a number of people have received serious injuries after explosions.

"The injuries are actually greater than the number of incidents because loved ones and friends are trying to come to the rescue of the victim, who is on fire, and then they themselves are set on fire”, notified CPSC Spokesman Scott Wolfson.

There were 137 passengers on board flight SG-344 on its way here from Bangalore.

The flight made a turnaround eight minutes before it reported a technical hitch and a full emergency was declared at 12.15 p. m.

It landed safely at 12.21 p. m. and the emergency was relaxed at 12.28 p. m., the airport official said.
