Lucknow, Sep 6 : Calling WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange "mad", Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati Tuesday rubbished US embassy cables leaked by the online whistleblower that said she had sent a special jet to Mumbai to bring in her favourite sandals.

"These reports are baselesss," Mayawati told reporters here.

She said Assange should be sent to a mental asylum. The cables that portray her as a dictator, she said, were a ploy by some vested interests to malign her image and that of her party.

Washington, Sept 6 : Beyonce Knowles, who recently turned 30, invited close friend Gwyneth Paltrow to celebrate her birthday on board a luxury yacht in Venice, Italy.

Beyonce, who touched the milestone year on September 4, is currently staying on the yacht with husband Jay Z, Contactmusic reported.

Paltrow, who is in the Italian city promoting her new movie `Contagion' alongside Matt Damon, was invited to join them on the yacht.

Dhaka, Sep. 6 : Government sources on Tuesday indicated that India and Bangladesh are unlikely to sign a deal on the Teesta river waters issue during the current two-day visit to Dhaka of Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, but could come up with an interim agreement.

"We are still trying to find one solution that suits all. There will be no deal unless all are involved and are onboard. If all are not onboard, it cannot be implemented. One of the main states is West Bengal. We have to take them onboard," said the sources.
