Magdeburg, Germany - Germany's former backstroke world champion Antje Buschschulte has ended her swimming career.
"I have decided to climb out of the pool and bring more time on land," the 29-year-old swimmer said Saturday.
Buschschulte competed at four Olympic Games, reaching the semi-final of the 100m backstroke and the final of the 4x100m freestyle relay at the 2008 Beijing Games.
