Terrorism hits schoolchildren in Ahmedabad

AhmedabadAhmedabad, July 30 : Schoolchildren in Ahmedabad have been badly affected by the recent violence caused through serials blasts. The psychological setback is so intense that many of them are scared and often talk about terrorists in classrooms in school.

As part of an initiative to take out fear from their minds, one school here conducted peace prayers by schoolchildren.

Preeti Jai Shah, supervisor of Jai Hind Doon school, told that the kids have been very much disturbed by the recent blasts. To take out that fear of their minds, the school authorities recently organised peace prayers.

"Actually, for the past two days the kids were asking questions about terrorists, from where the terrorists come, how do the terrorists look like? We didn’t know what to tell standard one students raising such questions. We have never seen terrorists. The terror of terrorism has increased in past one decade. Through peace prayers we told the kids that we have to maintain peace and spread the spirit of brotherhood," said Preeti Jai Shah.

Nonetheless, the kids have craved for the welfare of people all over the world by offering peace prayers.

Akshita, a student of Jai Hind Doon International Public School in Ahmedabad, said: "I have prayed to God that nothing of this sort will happen anywhere in the world and everybody will live in peace."
