Lahore, June 18 : On lawyers’ demand, Musharraf’s portrait removed from Punjab Governor HouseOn the demand of lawyers, a portrait of Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf was reportedly removed from the Durbar Hall of the Punjab Governor House, last evening.

During a meeting with PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari, the lawyers noticed a portrait of Musharraf alongside the portrait of Quaid-e-Azam and demanded its immediate removal, a private TV channel reported.

Quoting the TV report, the Daily Times reported that the portrait, which had been hanging on the wall for eight years, was thus removed.

The incident assumes significance in the wake of recent developments which appear to be going against Musharraf. Over the past couple of days Zardari has take a strong stance against the President, openly talking about his plans to remove him and appoint one of his partymen in his place at the Presidency.
