NASA to Make Announcement about Mars on Monday
The United States space agency, NASA, has revealed many things about Mars that are making space enthusiasts curious to know more about the planet. Now, NASA has announced that on September 28, it is going to reveal a big mystery about the Red Planet. There are chances that the space agency will confirm the presence of water on the fourth planet from the sun.
This week, three NASA scientists will deliver a new paper at European Planetary Science Congress. According to the paper, after analyzing images from the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, researchers found that briny water flowing on the Martian surface has resulted into seasonal dark streaks on the planet.
After disclosing the presence of water on Mars, NASA could face questions like, what are the sources of water on the planet, and how it can be linked to life. The paper doesn’t have answers to such questions, and the space agency is not interested in disclosing anything regarding the matter ahead of its news conference on Monday.
There are high chances that on Monday, NASA will make announcement about the paper, but if the space agency doesn’t talk about the specific paper, the news conference will still be linked to water on the Red Planet.
NASA has found signs of water on the Red Planet a long ago. Photographic evidence of structures that look like riverbeds already suggested that Mars had water long time ago. There are many space enthusiasts and experts who believe the space agency could reveal that it has found life on Mars, or it has seen some creatures on the planet.
“I suspect it’s going to be something that will increase our interest in going to Mars,” former astronaut Mike Massimino said.
“That there is some sort of life form that might be discovered, and it’s also the possibility that you could support human life there,” Massimino said.
