London, Aug 26 : Beyonce Knowles' feminist performance at MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles has invited criticism on Twitter.

The online users said that the 32-year-old singer had double standards because she performed 15 minutes in front of giant neon 'Feminist' sign singing 'Bow Down Bitches', while dancing provocatively, , Independent reported.

However, many online users praised her for promoting feminism as she quoted novelist Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's "We should all be feminists" in her song "Flawless". (ANI)
