Rahul Gandhi threatens to drag Swamy to court

Rahul Gandhi threatens to drag Swamy to courtCongress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi's office has threatened that it would pursue all legal actions against Janata Party President Subramanian Swamy, saying allegations made by him against Sonia Gandhi and her son were utterly false.

Swamy recently held a press conference and alleged that Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi committed irregularities in transferring money and property from a trust to a private firm.

In response, Rahul Gandhi's office said it would file a defamation case against Swamy.

In a letter to Swamy, Rahul's office said, "Please be informed that we shall pursue the legal remedies open to us against the utterly motivated and irresponsible contents of your press conference."

Rahul's office described the allegations entirely false, baseless and defamatory, and alleged that Swamy's action of holding a press conference was a goaded attempt for reasons.

In the letter, the office also said that Swamy abused the freedom to speak.

On the other hand, Swamy claimed that he didn't receive any letter. But he added that he would throw any such letter in the dustbin without reading and also said that he was ready to fight the said defamatory case in court.
