Bankers not to waive their bonuses again
As the chiefs of British Banks who had all together sacrificed their bonuses one year back, they were of the belief that their humble gesture would bring them a few respite from the people and political flogging they had got for their multi-million pound worth pay awards.
However, with this year's bonus season which is only a few weeks away, and with the brutal public spending reductions beginning to hurt, the emotions over the highly paid bankers is more hostile than ever before.
Though, this time, Britain's leading banking executives are getting ready for meeting the war directly. Despite the political pressure has been displaying a constraint regarding bonuses, especially from Liberal Democrat business secretary, Vince Cable, chief executives of the 5 largest UK banks are hell bent on not waiving their rewards yet again.
There may be another view in the media. Some of the newspaper had informed that Mr. Cable had made his own place weak in the government which is the basic reason of such debacle at the current period of time.
