The rising stock market and economy of India have boosted the net worth of the richest people of India.

As per the latest India Rich List by Forbes the net worth of top 100 richest people of India is 300 billion dollars combined up from 276 billion dollars in the last year. According to the list, there are 69 billionaires in India this year which is up by 17 new names.

The elder Ambani brother, Mukesh Ambani has placed himself at the top of the rich list with a net worth of 27 billion dollars for the third time in a row.

Meanwhile the steel magnate Lakshmi Mittal holds his spot at second position in the list with a net worth of 26.1 billion dollars. The owner of the IT outsourcer Wipro, Azim Premji moved up to third position in this year with a net worth of 17.6 billion dollars which was up from 14.9 billion dollars of last year.

The brothers Ravi Ruia and Shashi stood at fourth position with a net worth of 15 billion dollars up from their net worth of 13.6 billion dollars of last year.

The IPO of their Essar Energy fetched them 1.85 billion dollars and helped them to raise their net worth.
