Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd has informed that the firm is going to set up more retail outlets in the country in near future. Mr. R. S. Sharma, Chairman of Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd. has informed this fact and has also welcomed the recent decision over petrol price of the Centre.

The government has recently taken a decision to deregulate retail prices of petrol. Mr. Sharma has also said that such decision will attract the oil companies of the country to emphasize their retail section.

The oil companies operating in the retail sector may take the advantage of this decision.

Managing Director of the firm Mr. U. K. Basu has said that the government has already approved the firm to open 500 retail outlets. So the company has decided to open 122 retail outlets in the year of 2012-13. He has also informed that opening more outlets will be beneficial for the firm.

Moreover, the mechanical completion of its Phase-III of the plant will be over by the month of October this year.
