BP identifies new chief for the oil response team

Tony HaywardThe chief executive of BP, Mr. Tony Hayward has been ordered to hand over the day to day report of the company's response to the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico to another senior executive Bob Dudely. Mr. Dudely will head the restoration process of the oil giant BP.

The chief executive Tony Hayward has criticized the US for making a series of PR gaffes for the oil spill. According to BP, Mr. Dudely grew up in the Mississippi and had a deep appreciation for the Gulf coast. Mr. Dudely has earned 2.2 million dollars last year as the managing director of BP and now is going to retain that position.

He will mentor the newly formed Gulf Coast Restoration Organization of BP as the president and chief executive. According to Mr. Dudely, the response to the oil spill in Gulf of Mexico continues to be the highest priority of BP. Mr. Dudely had joined the oil giant BP in the year 1999. Now with the joining of Dudely, it is expected to produce some good results in the oil spill issue.
