Softbank Mobile Corp. gains rights to distribute Apple iPadSoftbank Mobile Corp. is ready to proffer Apple iPad to Japan and eight other countries that include Germany, France etc.

The Softbank Mobile Corp. is a Japanese mobile phone operator who has acquired rights from Apple to offer Apple iPad from 28th May in Japan. The other countries will be supplied by the same distributor but have to wait till July to avail their iPad unit.

The Japan's third largest mobile phone operator shall taking orders in its outlets from this Monday. This move gives astringent completion to its rival company NTT DoCoMo Inc., Japan's biggest mobile phone carrier.

This decision of selling out the iPads for Apple was already taken by Softbank, since 2008, when it started selling Apple iPhones. This move is an extension of the same.

For the Japanese the basic model starts at 58,320 yen.
