Macmahon Holdings all set to clinch a $A90 million government contract

Macmahon Holdings all set to clinch a $A90 million government contract Macmahon Holdings Limited, a civil construction and mine contracting company, told the Australian Securities Exchange today that it is all set to a $90 million government contract.

The company was responding to a query raised by the Australian Securities Exchange. However, the company also said that it was not aware of any takeover offer from Leighton Holdings Limited.

Macmahon Holdings said it has been informed that it is likely to be awarded a $90 million material contract by a government department.

The volume was reported jumped from an average of 2 million shares being traded on market last week to more than 13 million this week.

Macmahon also told the ASX that it is unaware of any takeover activity by Leighton Holdings. The company was responding to another query by the ASX about the rumors that Macmahon received a takeover offer by Leighton. Leighton Holdings Limited currently holds an 18.56% stake in Macmahon.
