AT&T’s strategic approach
With no hurry whatsoever, the current 'best' carrier of 3G platform seems to be a bit reluctant in approach for 4G. It is stated that the wireless carrier has vastly improved on performance when it tagged up with smarphone subscribers.
With respect to the current 4G debate Ralph De La Vega, CEO of AT&T Mobility, said his company has ample number of wireless spectrum holdings across the nation to switch over to LTE, if the situation arises for the faster HSPA+.
At present the HSPA clicks over a speed of 7.2 Mbps, HSPA+ can go upto 10 mbps on a consistent basis.
In case for 4G revolution it is still under tenterhooks seeking for its launch timing and venue.
T-Mobile- definite move to HSPA+
It's a bit of a setback for the T-Mobile patrons, yet it's true that T-Mobile is funding its 3G platform for better efficiency ignoring the 4G revolution. Moving to the next HSPA+ level might be a key strategic move in terms of company but it gives enough reasons to T-Mobile to disqualify from the race.
However, amidst the juggles for 4G offering, competition is soaring high. The smartphone users get to choose the desired bandwidth from a wide variety of carriers. On the other hand ever expanding applications market is taking a toll on the network carriers.
