Corporates looking for more datacenter spaceA report formulated by the Digital Realty suggests that there is a continuous need for expansion of datacenters.

A survey conducted by the Campos Research and Analysis for Digital Realty with taking into consideration the senior decision makers said that as much as 83 per cent of respondents are planning datacenter extensions in the next 12 to 24 months.

36 per cent of the respondents have distinct plans to make extensions during 2010, and 73 per cent plan to add two or more facilities as part of their strategic datacenter extension.

Managing Director at the DH Capital, an investment bank which specializes in hosting and telecom deals, Dan Golding said, "Demand has been pretty steady. The story has really been supply."

In line are the views of director of the datacenter practice at a real estate firm, Grubb and Ellis, Jim Kerrigan who states that the country needs datacenter space which is three times of the current level. This is more and more important because there are continuous developments that are taking place in the current space.
