HC Judges declare assets on websiteAs many as 42 judges of High Court have revealed their assets on website on Friday in a bid to encourage transparency in the public life and creating corruption free system. It has been observed by analyzing data that most of the judges of the Delhi High Court consider investment in property, mutual funds and shares as preffered mode of saving.

Unlike, SC judges, the HC judges did not provide any details of jewellery or vehicles owned by the judges or their spouses, indicating they are more cautious than their superiors in SC to declare their assets.

Meanwhile, all judges of the Delhi High Court led by Chief Justice A. P. Shah revealed their assets. Judges submitted their asset's details to the Chief Justice before loading the data on the website. The assets details indicate property owned by spouses and other family members of the judges. Interestingly, their spouses are richer in many cases than the judges.

Justice S K Kaul emerged a wealthiest among the list of other judges, having approximately Rs 1.5 crore in deposits, 35 mutual funds and shares in 10 different companies. On the other hand, Justice Gita Mittal has just Rs 24 lakh as investments and doesn't have any other immovable property.
