BASF Q1 net surges 12%
Indian subsidiary of the German group BASF has registered a growth of 12% in its net profit for the first quarter ended June to Rs 41.05 crore, compared with corresponding period a year ago.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 36.65 crore during the June quarter a year earlier.
However, the total income of the chemical company has dropped marginally to Rs 384.15 crore in the latest quarter, against Rs 385.87 crore last year.
Ahead of positive results, the scrip of the company today settled the day at Rs 271 on BSE, up 10% compared to previous close of Rs 247.
