Los Angeles - US singer and actress Jessica Simpson, 28, will tackle the issue of beauty in a new TV reality show.

Usmagazine. com reported Monday that The Price of Beauty will begin shooting in mid-July and is scheduled for broadcast next year.

"I have always believed that beauty comes from within and confidence will always make a woman beautiful, but I know how much pressure some women put on themselves to look perfect," she said in a statement.

The Texan plans to travel around the world with a camera team exploring what beauty means in the various cultures. She said she expects it to be a "wild ride." (dpa)
