Washington, May 27 : Robert Pattinson is keen to portray his favourite musician, Irish singer Van Morrison, in a movie.

Until now, there are no plans to take the Brown Eyed Girl hitmaker''s story to the big screen, but the `Twilight' heartthrob is begging studio bosses to cast him if they ever pick up the idea of making a biopic of the musician.

"I''d love to play Van Morrison, but I doubt I would get the part," Contactmusic quoted him as telling Moviefone.

Meanwhile, Pattinson has revealed that he was embarrassed to portray Edward Cullen in the hit film `Twilight' because he feels that the character is nothing less than a perfect man, unlike him.

Despite an overwhelming fan following, the 22-year-old star said that he did not feel he was attractive enough to play the handsome vampire. (ANI)
