Tata Motors introduces Nano Europa at Geneva Motor show
Tata Motors launched the Nano Europa, the European version of the Nano, on Tuesday at the Geneva Motor show before Nano's formal launch on March 23 in the domestic market.
Nano Europa supports 3-cylinder sporty aluminium MPFI engine and electric power steering, using all international safety standards and regulations. The car has been provided with advanced restraint systems, ABS, ESP, with high fuel efficiency and low CO2 emission.
Ratan N Tata, Chairman Tata Motors, said, "In India, the Nano will be launched on March 23, and the cars will be on display at company dealerships from the first week of April. Since the Nano has generated wide interest in developed countries, we are delighted to present the Nano Europa for future launch in such markets."
The automobile giant also introduced Tata Prima and the Indica Vista EV, representing Tata's work on alternate technologies. Indica Vista EV, having a predicted range of up to 200 km and acceleration of 0-60 kmph, is designed to operate through electric technology which makes its economical and environment friendly.
The company has already tied up with Norway based Miljo Grenland/Innovasjon to produce electric vehicles. Tata Motors' UK subsidiary, having 70% stake in Miljo, is working on Indica EV and expected to hit roads within a year.
