Washington, Jan 20 : Singer Courtney Love once agreed to walk on the ramp in a sheer negligee only to help her friend start a bakery.

The 44-year-old star agreed to catwalk for Versace so that she could use the appearance fee to help a pal start her own bakery business.

The rocker revealed that the fashion house offered her 180,000 dollars to make a brief runway appearance in Rome, Italy - and though she was astonished by the offer, she couldn''t say no.

"I thought, ''This is stupid now''. I could give my friend her start-up money to start a bakery... I could have all the supermodels climb me, and tell my daughter... that I was hot enough to wear a see-through mauve kaftan," Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

Love is dreading shifting her base to New York City because she has many bad memories of the Big Apple.

While the she wants to leave Los Angeles, but doesn’t have any idea where to live in the NY.

The singer’s past drug problems had led to a forced rehab stint in New York, which is to be her new home in 2009. (ANI)
