UN Secretary General arrives in Amman to discuss Gaza truce
Amman - UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon arrived in Amman Wednesday for talks with King Abdullah II on the prospects of reaching an early ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
Ban flew in from Cairo, where he held talks with Egyptian President Hosny Mubarak in the course of a regional tour primarily aimed at implementing the UN Security Council Resolution 1860, which has called for a ceasefire in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestinian forces in the Gaza Strip.
