Shares fall more than 2 per cent in Seoul
Seoul - Shares continued to fall Monday on the Seoul stock exchange on fears of a deepening economic downturn. South Korea's currency plunged against the dollar.
The benchmark Kospi index shed 24.21 points, or 2.1 per cent, to close at 1,156.75. Declining issues outnumbered advancers 653 to
182.
The main index of the technology-heavy Kosdaq market slipped 7.13 points, or 1.99 per cent, to 351.35.
On currency markets, the US dollar was quoted at 1,359.0 Korean won, after 1,343.0 won on Friday. (dpa)
