President Zardari told BBC that India has failed to present conclusive evidence to prove their claims.

Zardari also pointed out that India is yet to prove that the gunmen who shook Mumbai on 26th of November had any relation with Pakistan. He also claimed that the sole surviving attacker Muhammad Ajmal Amir Kasab's alleged Pakistani origin is yet to be proved.

It is notable that Ajmal Amir Kasab's father identified him as his son after seeig his images in newspapers.

The President, however, promised Pakistan would take action if the link can be proven. Zardari also said that he had asked India to co-operate in the investigation.

"If that stage comes, and when it comes, I assure you that our parliament, our democracy shall take the action properly deemed in our constitution and in our law" Daily Times quoted him, as saying.

Zardari was not in denial mode about Lashkar-e-Taiba''s continued activities. "When you ban an organisation, they emerge in some other form", he said.

The President also said that Hafiz Saeed - the leader of the banned charity Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) - would remain under house arrest.

"Let me assure you that if there is any investigation to be found pointing towards his involvement in any form of terrorism, he shall be tried for that reason," said Zardari. (ANI)
