No positive news for investors

stock-marketSGX Nifty is trading flat at 5380, after falling 400 points in last trading session. The Indian markets opened flat and weak due to absence of any positive news to boost the investor sentiments.

Fall in the U. S. jobless rate have contributed rise in stocks on Asian front and also boosted stocks at Wall Street.

Japan also faces weaker yen against dollar and Nikkei average rose to a nine-month high. The benchmark Nikkei gained 1% and rose to a high of 10,644.

On the other hand, Seoul Composite is up 1.5% at 2,104, Jakarta Composite and KLSE Composite has added 0.3% - 0.5% respectively.

Straits Times is trading flat at 3,212 while Hang Seng is the only index trading in the red, down 0.1% at 23,876.

Coal India, Piramal Life Sciences, Ashiana Housing, Career Point Infosystems, Tata Motors and Unitech stocks need to be watched throughout the day.

On account of last week's Lunar New Year, markets in China, Taiwan and Vietnam continue to remain close.
