New Zealand to take on Sri Lanka in a must win match
New Zealand will play against Sri Lanka in a must win match of the super eight round of the ICC T20 World Cup at Trent Bridge today. New Zealand has to win this match to qualify to the semifinals of the ICC T20 World Cup as they had lost their match against Pakistan earlier.
New Zealand will want to have injured B McCullum in the team against Sri Lanka who has broken his little finger on his left hand in an outfield collision with Neil Broom in against Pakistan on Saturday.
Presence of McCullum will strengthen their batting and he can also provide some tips against mystery spinner Ajantha Mendis as he has played with Mendis in the Indian Premier League (IPL-
2).
Besides Mendis, Kiwi batsmen have to tackle M Muralitharan and Lasith Malinga who are capable of destroying any batting sides.
This match is also important for Sri Lanka as to qualify to semifinals they need to win this match.
