New Zealand crushes India in warm-up match

New Zealand, IndiaNew Zealand has defeated India by a huge margin of 103 runs in the warm-up match before the start of the Champions Trophy at Potchefstroom on Sunday.

The eight-nation Champions Trophy will be played in South Africa from 22nd September to 8th October.

New Zealand scored a mammoth total of 301 runs on the board in their allotted 50 overs after their skipper D Vettori elected to bat first after winning the toss. N Broom smashed 66 runs in just 46 balls late down the order to help New Zealand to set up a huge target for India.

Y Pathan took three wickets for just 46 runs in his 10 overs. Kiwi batsmen thrashed all other Indian bowlers all over the ground as most of the Indian bowlers were very expensive in their spells.

Indian team bundled out on the score of 198 runs in 40.3 overs. The young batsman A Nayar was top scorer for India who scored 46 runs in just 36 balls.
