Nepal Chamber of Commerce urges to ensure industrial security
Kathmandu, Aug 26 : Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) today underlined the need for industrial security to boost the ailing economy that was hit hard by decade-long insurgency.
A delegation of NCC led by its president Surendra Bir Malakar met Finance Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai to submitted suggestions for the upcoming budget.
The delegation suggested that the new government should adopt flexible labour regulations and laws that would warm the management-worker relations in the industries.
The delegation also urged the government for implementation of the commitments expressed in the Prime Minister Prachanda''s address to the nation and agreement reached among three parties including the CPN (Maoist), the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (MJF) and the CPN (UML).
In response, Dr. Bhattarai repeated the government''s commitment to work hand in hand with the private sector for drastic economic changes in Nepal.
Dr Bhattarai asked the industrialists to make more investment without any suspicion on the government, Nepalnews reported. (ANI)
