Kabul  - A NATO soldier died from injuries sustained in a blast in northern Afghanistan, military officials in Kabul said Sunday.

"Our thoughts and sincere condolences are with the family and friends of the brave soldier who was killed today," the NATO-led International Security Assistance Forces (ISAF) said.

"We have lost a valuable member of our team and this loss will be felt across ISAF."

NATO does not release the nationalities of its casualties. (dpa)
