Munich - Bayern Munich defender Christian Lell will likely miss the rest of the season due to an ankle injury, the German Bundesliga champions said on Wednesday.

Munich said that Lell, 24, must rest the foot for a fortnight. The season ends on May 23, with Munich in the title race three points behind leaders VfL Wolfsburg. (dpa)
