Mum slams Amy Winehouse’s hubby for not telling daughter about release
London, Nov 11: Amy Winehouse’s mother has slammed her son-in-law Blake Fielder-Civil for failing to inform his daughter that he is being released from jail.
Fielder-Civil, 26, checked straight into rehab after leaving prison following almost 12 months behind bars.
But Winehouse''s mother, Janis, said her pop star daughter was devastated that Fielder-Civil had not told her he was being released from Edmunds Hill Prison in Suffolk.
“What sort of husband doesn’t tell his wife that he’s being released? That says it all really, doesn’t it? The Sun quoted her, as telling Closer magazine.
“I don’t know about Blake asking Amy for money, but it wouldn’t surprise me. I’m glad she said no,” she added.
Janis has also accused Fielder-Civil of piling pressure on his volatile wife during his stint behind bars.
“He’d say things like, ‘If you love me you’d do this or that.’ He’d give her grief about things. Love is blind. I just hope she’s beginning to see what he’s really like now,” she said.
“Who knows what will happen between them? But I think the fact she hasn’t run straight to him now he’s out is positive.
“The main thing is that Amy gets healthy before she even thinks about going back to Blake. I know she can beat it, she’s getting better each day,” she added. (ANI)
