Motorola announces its new 3G-enabled Moto W7 Active Edition mobile phoneMotorola has announced its new 3G-enabled Moto W7 Active Edition mobile phone. Motorola is touting that the motion-enabled mobile device Moto W7 will “shake up your everyday phone experience”.

The new Moto W7 Active Edition slider phone is packed with some nice new features. The phone is equipped with an accelerometer that can understand human gestures, taps and flicks and responds likewise. The in-built step pedometer is another remarkable feature; it counts and records daily walks. The phone also come with Personal Trainer application for personal fitness goals.

The Moto W7 phone features 2.0 megapixel camera, front panel VGA camera for video calls, MP3 player, FM radio, stereo Bluetooth, and 30MB internal memory and an optional 8GB of external memory. The phone features full screen mode to check out video clips. The 2MP camera offers support for H.263 video recording, 15 fps QCIF, MPEG-4, H.263, H.264, Windows Media v9 and 3GP playback. The Bluetooth-enabled MOTOROKR S9-HD headphones work with Bluetooth 2.0 supporting Moto W7.  

The Moto W7 offers 3G network support with Quad-band GSM/GPRS and dual-band UMTS connectivity options. The phone comes equipped with a 910mAh battery offering eight hours of talk time.

The Moto W7 Active Edition mobile phone will be released in two colors - Licorice and Alpine White, in the Asia and Latin America markets in the second quarter of this year. However, Motorola has not disclosed price of the Moto W7.
